Glorious by day, the Peak District by night is every bit as entertaining. As well as music available in many of the region’s venues such as pubs and clubs, this is also a centre for High Culture and is renowned throughout Europe for the annual Opera Festival – the largest in Britain - at Buxton’s magnificent Opera House, which is also the home of the perennially popular Gilbert & Sullivan Festival.
