Nottingham's Places to Visit
The city of Nottingham and the county of Nottinghamshire are packed with diverse visitor attractions to suit all interests. In the very centre of Nottingham you’ll find such stimulating venues as the dramatic Galleries of Justice, the Castle, mysterious caves and a beautiful Marina.
Just a short drive away is Southwell, with its Minster and preserved workhouse. For sporting visitors, this is a county of golf, cricket, football and much more, including ice skating. Culture and literature are in abundance at Lord Byron’s old home, Newstead Abbey, whilst at Eastwood you’ll find the D. H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum.
There’s pleasure parks for kids, and Newark is also the home of the Millgate Museum , where domestic life over the past century is authentically recreated. These are just a few of the many attractions Nottingham has to offer.
