Cornwall's finest resort, Newquay, is steeped in over 1600 years of history and can enviably boast over seven miles of beautiful, unspoilt sandy beaches.

Newquay's popularity centres around the chain of 11 beaches that afford the town the title "The Surf Capital of the UK". Indeed many international water sports events are regularly held there.

The town centre is just a short walk from the central beaches of Towan, Great Western and Tolcarn, where amongst the many shops are a variety of tea rooms and cafes where you can indulge in one of Cornwall's famous cream teas. The town also boasts a variety of pubs, serving traditional West Country beers and ciders and restaurants serving locally caught sea food through to Mediterranean style dishes.

Newquay along with Cornwall itself, has much history and legend just waiting to be explored, with many a tale being told of ship wrecks and smuggling along the town's rocky coastline. With its mild climate and unique position at the heart of Cornwall, Newquay is also the ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area.
