Travelling to Newcastle & Gateshead

By Road: Tyneside is well-served by the UK road system from both the South and the North as the A1 runs straight through the region. From the South it becomes the A 194(M) at Washington, and there are three junctions to choose from off the A1 to the East of the city. From the North the A1 will connect you to the A167(M) which will lead you direct to the city centre. If you are travelling from the West across country, then the A69 offers a pleasing and picturesque drive straight to Newcastle or Gateshead.

By Rail: Most national rail companies, such as GNER, offer regular and comprehensive services both to Newcastle and Gateshead. Telephone Rail Enquiries on 08457 225225 for timetable and fare details.

By Air: Newcastle has it's own major airport and passengers wishing to travel to Tyneside by air will find that many of the UK's major airlines offer regular internal flights to and from Newcastle.

National Express run regular services to Newcastle from major towns and cities throughout the UK.
