By Road: From the north or south the fast M6 motorway skirts the Lake District up to Penrith. You can head west off the M6 at junctions 37 to 39 and 40 which all take you onto the major A-roads into the Lake District.
By Rail: There are regular services to destinations such as Penrith, Kendal, Windermere and Grange Over Sands, and further north, why not incorporate one of the UK’s finest rail trips into your break by catching a train from Settle in North Yorkshire on the breathtaking Settle-Carlisle Railway.
National Express and Stagecoach Express have regular connections to the Lakes from London Victoria Coach Station and most major UK cities.
