Bristol & Bath's Places to Visit

Bristol has a unique maritime history and this is represented by the magnificently developed waterfront. The city also has one of the UK’s finest Zoos and an impressive Ice Rink. Bristol is the proud possessor of two of Brunel’s engineering masterpieces – the world’s first great passenger liner, the SS Great Britain, and the amazing Clifton Suspension Bridge. A refreshing trip on the river Avon will reveal even more and the 21 st century sits comfortably alongside all this heritage with stunning modern city architecture such as Bristol’s Millennium Square and Temple Meads.

In Bath the city itself is a huge repository of admirably preserved Georgian wonders. A morning stroll along Great Pulteney Street will immediately transport you back to the great Georgian era to a world of crinolines, coaches, top hats and walking canes. You can go further back at Bath Abbey, further still at the Roman Baths, and there are museums and galleries chock full of rare treasures and priceless artworks.
